Kite Festival A Fun filled Event

Kite festivals are a popular form of entertainment all over the world. They usually consist of traditional festivals and small local events. Over the years, major international kite festivals have been taking place bringing in kite flyers from abroad to demonstrate the latest technical kites and display their unique art kites. There are many types of kites such as fighter kite, indoor kite, kytoon, man-lifting kite, stunt kite, and more with interesting designs such as Bermuda, Delta, Bow, Malay, Tetrahedral and Chapi-chapi.All types of kite enthusiasts are brought together by the Brighton Kite Flyers (BKF) with the intention of exchanging techniques, information and ideas. Since its inception in 1979, the club has gradually developed into a successful group with kite flyers worldwide.  The club i carb blocker s respected for its friendly and keen approach to kite flying. In addition, it is popular for its interest to work with numerous kite flyers as well as to promote the hobby/sport of kite flying to the public. The club’s enthusiasm was recognised and rewarded twice at the Portsmouth International Kite Festival with the award for “team spirit”. The club travels all over the world to participate in specialised kite festivals as well as show events.The club hosts the Brighton Kite Festival annually bringing some kites with tasteful shapes, colour and sizes to its venue, Stammer Park, Brighton. Renowned as one of the longest running kite festivals in Britain, it displays some world class flyers using all types of kites from beautifully made mini single line kites to some of the greatest team creations.
